Sponsorship campaign platform for Gunnar Sails.
Gunnar Sails was built as a digital campaign platform for Gunnar Christensen’s Golden Globe Race ambition, combining storytelling, sponsorship information, fundraising, SEO and long-term campaign communication.
Although Gunnar later postponed his campaign from GGR 2026 to GGR 2030 and the website was archived, the project remains a strong example of digital strategy for a real-world sponsorship challenge.

THE CHALLENGE
Competing in the Golden Globe Race requires far more than exceptional sailing ability. Gunnar’s campaign needed to attract around £100,000 in sponsorship while building credibility with commercial partners, sailing supporters and the wider public.
The website had to explain Gunnar’s story, present the sponsorship opportunity, document the preparation journey, improve search visibility and give potential sponsors a professional destination for enquiries.
This was not simply a website project. It was a campaign platform designed to support a multi-year sporting and sponsorship objective.

Featured work

Campaign website
A central hub for Gunnar’s story, Golden Globe Race information, campaign credibility and sponsor engagement.

Sponsorship and fundraising
Fundraising and sponsor journeys were planned around the need to attract significant campaign backing.

Race context and credibility
Golden Globe Race content helped explain the scale, history and challenge behind the campaign.
Technical SEO foundations
Technical optimisation gave the campaign a stronger base before future blog content and sponsorship updates were added.
The solution
NF Digital created a dedicated campaign website designed to become the central hub for Gunnar’s Golden Globe Race preparations.
The platform combined storytelling, sponsorship information, fundraising, search optimisation and a “Message in a Bottle” blog structure intended to document preparations before the event and the journey itself.
The website established a professional base for sponsor conversations, supporter engagement, future campaign updates and ongoing content development. When the campaign timetable changed, the project remained a useful demonstration of how digital platforms can support ambitious real-world ventures.
Designed for continuous campaign development

Why this matters
